LSG sponsors an electronic mailing list, known as GENEALIB, for announcements, discussion, and question-and-answer of interest to genealogy librarians. GENEALIB is administered using Mailman software on a list server provided by Academic Computing at the University of South Florida in Tampa. The list administrator is Drew Smith (dsmith@mail.usf.edu).

All messages posted to GENEALIB must be of potential interest to genealogy librarians. One-time announcements of new genealogical products and services is permitted so long as the vendor does not make such announcements more often than once every three months.
